Most hosting is metered. You pay for hours, invocations, reads, writes, egress, and seats, and the invoice arrives as a surprise with a chart attached. The compute is abstracted until nobody can say what a month of it should cost.
Gumpworks does the opposite. We publish a flat rate for a class of site, include the support, and stop counting. No meters, no overage line, no bill that changes because your product had a good week.
This is managed app hosting with a human DevOps: we take the repo, bring it online, keep it running, and hand you the keys. Internet 2 for the Web-4 age, operated by people you can reach.
What you are buying
- A flat rate. One number per tier, stated before you move. No metered hours, invocations, reads, writes, or egress.
- Tiers by workload. Small sites, backend sites, and processing services. The price follows the shape of the work, not an abstract unit invented to bill you.
- Repo-only deployments. We build from your source. We do not run arbitrary Docker images.
- Zero IP claim. You keep your code and content. We take a limited licence to review, build, and host it.
- Free dockerization. If your repository is not containerized, we do it as part of onboarding, at no extra charge.
- A human DevOps. The service is a person who reads the ticket, works the problem, and knows your stack.
- Remote rebuilds. We can rebuild the environment from the repo and the configuration, on request, at no extra charge.
- A domain that works. A free
*.gumpworks.comsubdomain, or your own DNS schema pointed at us. - A handover. The repo, the configuration, and the runbook are yours.
Hosting
Flat-rate hosting for three kinds of site. Every tier includes basic support, remote rebuilds, and free dockerization of your repository.
| Tier | What it is | Flat rate |
|---|---|---|
| Small site | Brochure sites, blogs, portfolios, shops, and content systems. | $5 / month |
| Backend site | A static front end plus an API, with endpoints that process intermittently. | $10 / month |
| Processing service | Containers that need ongoing processing, workers, queues, or sustained drain. | From $15 / month, after audit |
The first two tiers are flat. Processing services start at $15 and are quoted after a free audit, because the resource profile is the whole question. There is no overage meter and no per-request charge on any tier.
Hosting is subject to approval. Send the repo and the domain through the submission form and we will confirm the tier before anything is provisioned.
First month on us. New small and backend sites get their first month of hosting free. Processing services are excluded; they start with an audit and an estimate.
Included at every tier
- TLS, the reverse proxy, and the deploy pipeline.
- Basic support: business-hours response, deploy help, and incident triage.
- Remote rebuilds from source, on request.
- Free dockerization of your repository.
- Backups with a restore that has been tested at least once.
- A free
*.gumpworks.comsubdomain, or your own DNS.
Domains
Every site gets a free gumpworks.com subdomain. If you already own a domain,
point it at us and we will wire the DNS, the certificate, and the redirects.
Custom DNS schemas, multiple hostnames, and wildcard certificates are part of
setup, not an add-on.
Repos, not random containers
We only accept repositories. We do not blindly run Docker containers supplied by a customer. We read the build, dockerize the site if it is not already containerized, and deploy the result. That is the white glove part, and it is also the security model.
Manual review is included. We reserve the right to deny malware, malicious containers, and workloads that threaten the platform or other customers. The terms of service spell out the throttling and takedown policy.
Support and remote rebuilds
Support is not a chatbot with a knowledge base and an upsell. It is a human DevOps who can read the repository, open the logs, and rebuild the environment.
- Basic support is included on every tier. Deploy questions, broken builds, certificate problems, and "the site is down" all start here.
- Remote rebuilds are included. If the environment drifts, we rebuild it from the repo and the configuration rather than patching a snowflake.
- Incident response is available. For production systems that need a response window in writing, we scope a support agreement.
- No ticket maze. You get a named contact and a direct channel.
Engineering and backend services
We build the parts that make the hosting useful.
- Full-stack engineering. Front end, API, data model, auth, and deploy.
- Backend services. Queues, workers, integrations, scheduled jobs, and the services that sit behind the product.
- Platform work. CI, infrastructure as code, observability, and the migration off whatever you are renting now.
- Maintenance. Existing systems we did not build are welcome, after a short review.
Engineering is estimated per project. You get a written scope and a number before work starts.
Build the whole thing
If you have an idea and no repository, we can take it from specification to production: design, build, deploy, and host. That is a project engagement, not a hosting tier, and it is subject to estimate.
The same terms apply: the code is yours, the deployment is documented, and the handover is real.
Pricing
- Small site: $5 a month. Brochure sites, blogs, portfolios, shops, and content systems.
- Backend site: $10 a month. A static front end plus an API with intermittent processing.
- Processing service: from $15 a month. Containers with ongoing processing, workers, queues, or sustained drain. Requires an audit and a free estimate.
- Basic support and remote rebuilds are included at every tier.
- Dockerization is free. Send the repo; we build the image.
- Engineering and whole builds are estimated. Written scope, fixed number, no rate-card theatre.
- Estimates are free. Describe the system, the constraint, and the deadline.
Payment
We accept all standard forms of crypto — BTC, ETH, Base, and SOL — with the addresses listed on the Open Gump Foundation page. We also accept wire transfer, PayPal, and cash for customer contracts.
How it works
- Send the repo. If it is not containerized, we dockerize it for free.
- Get a written scope. What is included, what is not, and the flat number.
- We bring it online. Domain, TLS, deploy, backups, and monitoring.
- You get the keys. Repo, configuration, runbook, and a recorded walkthrough.
- Stay or take it in-house. Support if you want it. Nothing if you do not.
What we do not do
- We do not meter hours, invocations, reads, writes, or egress.
- We do not charge per seat.
- We do not run arbitrary Docker images. We build from your repository.
- We do not host malware, malicious containers, or workloads that attack the platform or other customers.
- We do not hold your code or your domain behind a subscription.
- We do not take on a system we cannot hand back in a runnable state.
Start a conversation
Send the repo, the domain, and a sentence about what it needs to do. We only accept repositories; we do not run arbitrary Docker images. Use the submission form or email Tony@gumpworks.com. A person reads it, and the estimate is free. Hosting is subject to approval.
